⚠️ 10 จุดหลอกที่ข้อสอบ Conversation ชอบนำมาลวง

  1. Do you mind...? / Would you mind...?

    คำว่า mind แปลว่า "รังเกียจ/ติดใจไหม" ดังนั้น ถ้าเรา ยินดีอนุญาต หรือ ยินดีช่วย ต้องตอบปฏิเสธความรังเกียจ เช่น Not at all. หรือ Of course not. (ห้ามตอบ Yes เพราะจะกลายเป็นว่า "ฉันรังเกียจ/ไม่อนุญาต")

  2. I couldn't agree more.

    ไม่ได้แปลว่า "ฉันไม่สามารถเห็นด้วยได้" แต่แปลว่า "ฉันเห็นด้วยอย่างยิ่ง" (เห็นด้วยจนไม่รู้จะเห็นด้วยมากไปกว่านี้ได้อย่างไรแล้ว)

  3. I'm afraid...

    ไม่ได้แปลว่า "กลัว" เสมอไป ในภาษาพูดและการเจรจา ใช้แสดงความเกรงใจในการปฏิเสธหรือแจ้งข่าวร้าย เช่น I'm afraid I can't make it. (เกรงว่าฉันจะไปไม่ได้)

  4. Would you like...? vs Would you mind...?

    Would you like + noun / to V1? เป็นการเสนอหรือชวน ตอบรับใช้ Yes, please. ปฏิเสธใช้ No, thank you. ส่วน Would you mind + V-ing? เป็นการขอร้อง ตอบรับช่วยใช้ Not at all.

  5. How about...? vs Why don't we...?

    ระวังโครงสร้างไวยากรณ์: How about + V-ing / noun? (เช่น How about going by train?) ขณะที่ Why don't we + V1? (เช่น Why don't we take a break?)

  6. สำนวน give me a hand

    แปลว่า "ช่วยฉันหน่อย" (help me) ไม่ได้แปลว่ายื่นมือมาให้

  7. สำนวน catch ในบริบทการฟัง

    I didn't catch that. แปลว่า "ฉันฟังไม่ทัน / ไม่ได้ยิน" จึงต้องตอบรับด้วยการพูดซ้ำหรืออธิบายใหม่

  8. That works for me.

    ไม่ได้แปลว่า "สิ่งนั้นทำงานให้ฉัน" แต่แปลว่า "เวลา/ข้อเสนอนั้นสะดวกและลงตัวสำหรับฉัน"

  9. คำตอบกวนหรือตรงเกินไป (Literal Meaning Trap)

ข้อสอบมักใส่ตัวเลือกที่แปลคำศัพท์ตรงตัวหรือตอบแบบไม่มีมารยาท เช่น "Deadlines cannot move anywhere" หรือ "Tell me your name first" อย่าเลือกเด็ดขาด

  10. ตัวเลือกที่มีคำตรงกับโจทย์แต่ตอบคนละเรื่อง

    เช่น โจทย์ถามราคา How much is this book? ตัวเลือกลวงจะพูดถึงความสนุกของหนังสือ อย่าหลงเพราะเห็นคำว่า book ในตัวเลือก

🎯 10 เทคนิคพิชิต Situational English ฉบับครูผู้ช่วย

  1. ระบุผู้พูดและคู่สนทนา (Who is talking to whom?):
I see your point, but I have a slightly different view.
  4. การปฏิเสธแบบมืออาชีพ: อย่าตอบห้วนๆ ว่า No ให้ใช้สูตร ขอบคุณ/เห็นใจ + เหตุผลความจำเป็น เช่น I'd love to, but I have another meeting.
  5. การรับมือข้อร้องเรียน (Handling Complaints): ต้องแสดงความเห็นอกเห็นใจและเสนอแนวทางแก้ไข เช่น I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me look into that for you right away.
  6. ไม่แน่ใจข้อมูลในที่ทำงาน: อย่าตอบมั่ว ให้บอกว่าจะตรวจสอบให้ เช่น I'm not certain, but I'll check and get back to you shortly.
  7. สถานการณ์ขอขัดจังหวะในที่ประชุม: ใช้คำสุภาพเกริ่นนำ เช่น Excuse me, may I come in here? หรือ I don't mean to interrupt, but...
  8. แยกแยะคำตอบ "ถูกหลักภาษา" กับ "ถูกกาลเทศะ": บางตัวเลือกไวยากรณ์ถูกต้อง 100% แต่หยาบคายหรือไม่เป็นธรรมชาติในสังคม ให้เลือกข้อที่เหมาะสมกับวัฒนธรรมการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษ
  9. มองหาสำนวนมาตรฐานตามสถานการณ์ (Set Phrases): เช่น Good news → Congratulations! / Bad news → I'm sorry to hear that. / Before test → Good luck!
  10. ฝึกฝนจับเวลาทำข้อสอบจริง: การอ่านบทสนทนาต้องฝึกความเร็วในการจับ Key Message และความรู้สึก (Tone) ของคู่สนทนา
